Role Purpose

The Operations & Project Delivery Manager will be driving day-to-day operational coordination, project delivery oversight, client communication, and reporting across the company’s activities. This role is suited to a strong project manager/operator who can bring structure, follow-through, and accountability in a fast-moving environment and is comfortable working closely with engineers, technicians, and clients to keep projects and operations on track.

Key Responsibilities

1) Operations Management

  • Lead daily coordination across office operations, field teams, logistics, projects, and support functions.
  • Set priorities across multiple operational and project demands to ensure timely execution.
  • Establish and maintain practical operating procedures, trackers, and internal controls.
  • Monitor productivity, workflow efficiency, and operational bottlenecks, and drive timely corrective action.
  • Promote continuous improvement in communication, coordination, and execution discipline across the business.

 

2) Project Delivery and Controls

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of renewable energy related projects and services from mobilisation through completion and handover.
  • Develop and maintain project workplans, delivery schedules, milestone trackers, issue logs, and action registers.
  • Monitor performance against scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and escalate risks or delays promptly.
  • Coordinate field teams and project stakeholders to ensure activities remain organised, efficient, and on schedule.
  • Ensure project records, supporting documents, and delivery files are complete, current, and properly maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

 

3) Reporting, Documentation, and Compliance

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and project-specific reports for management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure reporting is timely, accurate, decision-useful, and supported by reliable field and operational data.
  • Contribute to client, donor, and public-sector reporting requirements where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, project requirements, health and safety standards, and relevant regulatory obligations.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining high standards of documentation, reporting quality, and record keeping.
  • Ensure field activities are properly documented and carried out in accordance with safety expectations and company procedures.

 

4) Stakeholder and Client Coordination

  • Act as a central coordination point between management, technical team, office staff and clients and ensure effective and timely communication flow. 
  • Lead internal coordination meetings and track agreed actions through to closure.
  • Support external communication on service and project delivery and ensure queries are addressed efficiently. 
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders and represent the company effectively in project and operations-related discussions.

 

5) Bid and Proposal Support

  • Coordinate inputs from technical and commercial team members to support timely, high-quality submission of small-scale quotations and bids.
  • Support the preparation of scope summaries, implementation timelines, costing inputs, and required administrative documentation.
  • Track opportunities, submission deadlines, and follow-up actions related to proposals and business development.

 

6) Team Leadership and Supervision

  • Supervise and coordinate assigned staff, including technical team and office support personnel.
  • Set clear expectations, assign responsibilities, and follow up to ensure accountability and timely completion of tasks.
  • Support team members to improve planning, reporting, documentation, and execution discipline.
  • Promote a professional, solutions-oriented, safe, and accountable working culture.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in operations and project management in renewable energy, infrastructure or other field-based operational enviroments. 
  • Proven ability to supervise and coordinate both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tracking/reporting tools
  • Experience preparing quotations, small bids, or proposal submissions is an advantage.
