The role will support work across recruitment, HR advisory, training, and research/project management, with a particular interest in candidates who have experience or exposure in community engagement, training support, focus group discussions, gender, safeguarding, inclusion, youth engagement, or social impact activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting trainings, workshops, retreats, consultations, interviews, focus group discussions, community engagement activities, and fieldwork
  • Assisting with recruitment administration, including candidate records, interview scheduling, assessment preparation, communication, and documentation
  • Supporting HR advisory and research assignments through document formatting, note-taking, filing, evidence organisation, consultation records, data entry, and basic summaries
  • Helping document feedback, emerging themes, participant concerns, field observations, and assignment outputs
  • Maintaining accurate trackers, records, folders, templates, and assignment files
  • Supporting work related to gender, safeguarding, inclusion, workplace culture, youth engagement, social impact, and community-based assignments where required
  • Communicating professionally with candidates, participants, vendors, partners, and internal team members using agreed guidance
  • Maintaining confidentiality and escalating sensitive issues, delays, risks, or missing information to the relevant assignment lead.

Required Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A diploma, degree, certificate, or relevant training in social sciences, development studies, gender studies, human resources, education, psychology, community development, public health, sociology, business administration, or a related field
  • At least three years of relevant experience, which may include formal employment, internships, volunteer roles, community work, youth leadership, peer education, NGO/CSO work, campus leadership, or project support experience
  • Experience supporting some of the following: trainings, workshops, community sensitisation, youth activities, focus group discussions, consultations, fieldwork, research, recruitment support, HR support, or project administration
  • Interest in HR, people management, workplace issues, organisational development, training, research, gender, safeguarding, inclusion, social impact, or consultancy work
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence engaging respectfully with different groups of people
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Willingness to learn across recruitment, HR advisory, training, research, and project management
