A reputable boutique hotel in Freetown is looking for the accountant to support the hotel’s finance and accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, processing payments, monitoring revenue and expenses, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.

A reputable hotel in Freetown is looking for an ambitious, energetic, and commercially minded Sales & Marketing Executive to help grow the hotel’s revenue, visibility, partnerships, and guest experience standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with good communication skills and eager to gain valuable exposure to hotel management, guest experience, revenue generation, events, and brand development. Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales & Revenue Generation
    • Support the planning, promotion, and execution of in house events to increase traffic, revenue, and brand visibility
    • Drive hotel bookings from corporate clients, individual guests, groups, online digital agencies (OTAs) and organisations
    • Identify upselling opportunities and secure long-stay bookings and reservations across hotel operations and services
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, organisations and businesses across sectors 
    • Follow up on leads, prepare proposals, conduct sales calls, and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings
    • Support the achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets

 

2. Marketing & Brand Visibility

  • Promote the hotel as a preferred destination for accommodation, dining, meetings, lifestyle experiences  and events
  • Plan and run digital and on-ground marketing campaigns across social media channels and digital platforms
  • Manage and grow the hotel’s online presence with consistent, professional, and engaging content
  • Ensure all marketing materials reflect the hotel’s brand image, standards, and commercial objectives
  • Build strategic partnerships with brands, influencers, event organisers, corporates, and community groups
  • Represent the hotel professionally at networking events, client meetings, and business development opportunities

 

3. Guest Relations & Guest Experience

  • Act as a visible and professional point of contact for guests, especially VIPs, corporate clients, long-stay guests, and event guests
  • Welcome key guests, support check-in experiences where required, and help ensure a warm, professional guest journey
  • Handle guest enquiries, feedback, complaints, and service recovery in a calm, timely, and professional manner
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and communicate recurring issues or improvement opportunities to management
  • Support the Operations Manager in ensuring guest-facing teams deliver consistent service standards
  • Follow up with guests after stays, events, or bookings to encourage repeat business and positive reviews
  • Assist in managing online reviews, guest feedback platforms, and reputation-building initiatives

 

4. Reporting, Market Intelligence & Performance Tracking

  • Track leads, bookings, client activity, guest feedback, campaign performance, and sales results and prepare regular updates for the Operations Manager and General Manager
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, pricing, promotions, and hospitality opportunities
  • Recommend practical actions to improve revenue, visibility, guest satisfaction, and repeat business
  • Capture content and guest feedback from events for future marketing and business development use

 

Experience and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Communications or related field
  • 3–5 years’ experience in sales, marketing or business development, preferably in hospitality sector
  • Good understanding of social media, promotions, client relationships, and guest service
  • Proven experience creating engaging content and marketing campaign materials 
  • Proven knowledge and usage of hotel management softwares, office and digital marketing tools

  • Strong in written and verbal communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and follow-up
  • Confident and professional when dealing with clients, guests, staff, and partners 
  • ·Good local market awareness and ability to identify business opportunities 
  • Organised, reliable, and willing to support wider hotel business needs when required

  • Willing to learn, take ownership, and grow through hands-on experience
