Role Purpose
The Marketing Executive is an implementation and execution role, responsible for carrying out day-to-day marketing, advertising, and promotional activities for the company’s brands. This position focuses on using traditional and modern marketing tools to engage consumers, increase brand awareness, and support sales through effective content, activations, and communication. This is not a managerial or strategic role. It is a hands-on, energetic, execution-driven position suitable for a creative individual who understands Sierra Leonean market culture, trends, and communication styles.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management and Creative Coordination
- Manage and update all brand social media pages.
- Plan and schedule posts consistently.
- Monitor comments, inbox messages, and engage with followers.
- Track page growth, trends, and post-performance.
- Work with designers, photographers, videographers, editors, printing houses, and media partners.
- Provide clear creative briefs and ensure timely deliverables.
- Review creatives for accuracy, cultural relevance, and branding alignment
- Execution of ATL & BTL Marketing Activities
- Assist in developing simple, relevant ATL and BTL ideas fitting the Sierra Leonean market.
- Help prepare briefs for billboards, radio ads, flyers, and promotions.
- Support execution of ATL campaigns and coordinate with agencies and media.
- Lead BTL activities such as sampling, activations, roadshows, and promotions.
- Influencer, Brand Ambassador Management and Content Creation & Copywriting
- Liaise with influencers to ensure compliance with contracts.
- Provide scripts, captions, and materials.
- Track posting schedules and performance
- Write culturally relevant captions, scripts, and content.
- Create simple video scripts.
- Adapt trending formats into brand content.
- Ensure messaging fits the market language and tone.
- On-Ground BTL Execution and Media Coordination
- Organize and manage activations, sampling, school promotions, etc.
- Coordinate logistics, materials, and promoter teams.
- Ensure branding materials are properly deployed.
- Communicate with radio, TV, print, and outdoor media houses.
- Ensure ads run according to schedule.
- Track timings, gather proof of airing, and manage billing support.
- Market Monitoring & Trend Identification
- Monitor youth trends, competitor activities, and cultural movements.
- Provide weekly insight reports.
- Suggest reactive content ideas.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of marketing, creative, promotions, or social media experience.
- Strong understanding of Sierra Leonean consumer behaviour and culture.
- Experience working with creatives, influencers, and media houses.
- Basic knowledge of marketing frameworks is a plus.
- Strong understanding of social media.
