Key Purpose 

The Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Officer will ensure the efficient, user-focused and cybersecure design, installation, operation and day-to-day support of IT infrastructure and end-user devices at BRAC Head Office and country branch offices. The role will have a strong focus on network, hardware and troubleshooting support for end-users, while actively developing skills and responsibilities in cybersecurity with support from BRAC International IT Department.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. User & Device Support (Laptops/Tablets)
  • Provide timely and effective technical support for BRAC users across Head Office and branches.
  • Diagnose, fix and coordinate repair of hardware, software and connectivity issues for end-user devices.
  • Monitors and ensures high quality external IT service partner service delivery.
  • Allocate and manage the resources, support and infrastructure required for any IT projects, products and services.
  • Ensure standard installation, configuration and updates of laptops, tablets, printers and other peripherals.
  1. Network & Infrastructure Operations
  • Work with IT Manager to support the design, installation and operation of all components of the Wide Area Network (routers, switches, firewalls), server infrastructure and Internet services.
  • Monitor and help maintain 99% infrastructure systems uptime for critical services.
  • Work with IT service partners to ensure high-quality connectivity and network performance in all offices.
  1. Cybersecurity & Disaster Recovery (Growing Focus)
  • Work with BI IT to develop and maintain cybersecurity and infrastructure system monitoring using appropriate tools.
  • Support backup, recovery and Disaster Recovery activities for Head Office and branch offices.
  • Help roll out security best practices (patching, antivirus, endpoint protection, user awareness) and gradually take on more cyber responsibilities.
  1. Service Quality, Governance & Collaboration
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support for incidents escalated from country IT staff.
  • Ensure implementation initiatives and configuration changes follow established change management / ITIL-compliant processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date asset and licensing inventories for all laptops, tablets and network equipment.
  • Build positive relationships and effective communication channels with BI IT, Country Management, programme heads and IT service partners.
  • Adheres to audit and compliance in accordance with BIHBV infrastructure blueprints.
  • Advances and incorporates the mission and core values of BRAC International into the job setting and articulates them effectively to staff.

 

Qualification and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in managing technical and infrastructure services, with strong hands-on network and hardware support for a larger user base.
  • Solid skills in networking and communications (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs) and troubleshooting end-user devices.
  • Experience with Windows Server/Active Directory, backup and recovery is an advantage.
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid environments (e.g. O365, Azure, or similar).
  • Experience with Disaster Recovery System Design and Recovery is an advantage.
  • ITIL, CCNA/CCNP and/or a cybersecurity certification are added advantages – or a strong willingness to work towards them.
