Role Purpose 

The Director, Indirect Sales & Distribution is responsible to own and drive the indirect sales & distribution ecosystem to deliver market leadership, sustainable revenue growth, cost efficiency, and full compliance, while scaling Orange Liberia. Orange Energies and Orange Money Liberia’s footprint nationwide (urban and rural). The role is a P&L-critical, execution-driven, and risk-sensitive, requiring a leader who is customer-centric, data-driven, and results-oriented, with a strong ability to translate strategy into disciplined field execution. The role further demands hands-on leadership, strong partner and people management skills, and a commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and inclusive leadership, in line with Orange values.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

    A. Strategy & Performance

  • Define and execute the indirect sales & distribution strategy aligned with Group and Cluster (OCI) priorities.
  • Deliver market share leadership, revenue growth, and customer/POS expansion across Telco, Mobile Money, Energy, and new services.
  • Optimize distribution economics (commissions, workforce, logistics, digitalization) to improve EBITDA and Direct Margin.
  • Translate strategy into clear objectives for Distributors, Super Agents, and POS, with tight KPI governance.

 

    B. Network Development & Execution

  • Design, deploy, and scale a robust, compliant, and profitable indirect distribution network nationwide.
  • Recruit, structure, and animate Distributors, Super Agents, Agents, and POS, including rural and underserved areas.
  • Ensure permanent availability of products, cash, float, scratch cards, devices, and services in the field.
  • Lead aggressive acquisition and activation programs to grow active base and customer value.

 

      C. Commercial Excellence & Market Intelligence

  • Guarantee commercial quality, service excellence, and brand consistency in the field.
  • Conduct regular field visits and distributor business reviews (weekly/monthly/quarterly).
  • Contribute to drive market intelligence, competition analysis, and rapid adjustment of commercial tactics.
  • Ensure strong animation and uptake of offers.

 

      D. Governance, Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure full compliance with OLIB Compliance Program, Zero Tolerance to Corruption, and AML/CFT obligations across the indirect network.
  • Enforce strict respect of distribution contracts, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively manage reputational, financial, and compliance risks linked to partners.

 

      E. Leadership & Organization

  • Lead, coach, and develop the indirect sales & distribution teams.
  • Set objectives, evaluate performance, and build critical skills in collaboration with HR.
  • Drive process improvement, digitalization, and change management.
  • Manage and defend the department budget, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
