Job Purpose

The Admin/Procurement Support Officer provides day-to-day administrative, procurement, and site-support assistance to help ensure smooth office operations, accurate records, and timely support to project activities in Kono. The role is office- and field-based and requires regular support to project sites in rural locations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day running of the office, including filing, correspondence, and basic record-keeping.
  • Maintain office supplies and help keep the office organized and functional.
  • Assist with meeting scheduling, internal communication, and general administrative tasks.
  • Accurately record and report daily attendance for site labor and maintain records for payroll and project tracking.
  • Receive internal purchase and service requests, check them for completeness, and submit them to the responsible supervisor or Procurement Manager for processing.
  • Support procurement processes through documentation, supplier communication, and order tracking.
  • Provide site support as assigned, including collection of concrete cylinder samples from project sites.
  • Travel to field locations as needed to support project implementation.
  • Carry out any other administrative, operational, or site-support duties assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in administration, procurement support, office support, or a similar role.
  • Good basic numeracy and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of Krio and local languages is an advantage.
