Key Purpose

APCON Enterprise (SL) LTD is working on the solar PV installation of 404 stand-alone systems across Sierra Leone.

APCON Enterprise (SL) LTD is currently seeking a Warehouse & Stores Coordinator to work at the Sierra Leone project office. The candidate will be responsible for managing the timely receipt of material/items at the warehouse/store, ensuring proper storage, issuing and delivery system at a construction site, and maintaining inventory through the computer system.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and keep track of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the stockroom.
  • Receive, unload, and shelve supplies.
  • Examine and review deliveries for discrepancies and damages and report to necessary personnel for reimbursements and record-keeping.
  • Oversee and exercise general control over all the tools and activities of the store.
  • Answer questions regarding procedures and resolve issues that may arise on receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs, and surplus supply.
  • Exercise general control over all activities in warehouses/Stores.
  • Ensure safe keeping both as to quality and quantity of materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Receive and store documents and confidential files; maintain records of approved documents and confidential files.
  • Ensure the security of the warehouse and company assets.
  • Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders; process and distribute documentation with purchase orders.
  • Reserve a particular material for a specific job when so required and issue materials only in required quantities against authorized requisition notes/material lists.
  • Check the book balances, with the actual physical stock at frequent intervals by way of internal control over wrong issues, pilferage, etc.
  • Monitor and proactively take action in response to site needs/ requests for construction materials.
  • Anticipate and proactively elevate potential challenges/problems.
  • Maintain the outside area of the stores and yard in a safe clean and tidy condition.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for replenishment as necessary.
  • Make sure that the issuance of stock items is accompanied by the fully authorized requests.
  • Prepare a periodic report on the movement of materials in and out of the warehouse.
  • Plan in advance the requirement of materials for each construction site.
  • Make use of available store and shipment documents properly.
  • Any other duties as reasonably assigned. 

 

Education and Knowledge

  • Degree in Business Management/Supply Chain/Accounts or related area.
  • 3-5 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
