Terms Of Reference (TOR) for Recruitment of a Firm/Consultant to Deliver Training on Finance for Non-Finance Team

We are intentional about keeping girls in school and we do this through an innovative self-development and knowledge hub throughout key programmatic areas which include skills development focused on leadership and skills development, activism focused on advocacy and social change, well-being focused wellness education on physical & mental well-being, and academic enrichment focused on academic support and learning.

Context

GESL is seeking a consultant/ firm to provide training for their non-finance team members. This will include both board members and employees. The training programme’s goal is to ensure all GESL team and board members have a robust understanding of key financial concepts and reporting requirements so they can be better positioned to exercise their responsibilities from a fiduciary and employee perspective.

The consultant/firm can choose their learning journey with the aim of ensuring some of the following outcomes are achieved:
– Appreciation of link between governance and finance.
– Roles and responsibilities and internal financial control.
– Knowledge and understanding of what financial reporting includes and how to navigate and review such data.
– Use financial reports to monitor project performance and identify actions to keep project finances on track.
– Ability to interpret and develop budget, forecasts and variance analysis and understand the role of foreign exchange.
