Key Purpose

Responsible for planning lessons and activities that facilitate students’ acquisition of basic and advanced computer skills across primary and secondary school.

 

Duties

  • Plan and develop lesson plans.
  • Prepare teaching schedules, course work, homework, and any associated learning material.
  • Ensure lessons are interesting for students.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment for student participation.
  • Develop and coordinate frequent and appropriate assessments of student’s abilities.
  • Ensure to utilize the various technological tools in an interactive and meaningful manner.
  • Communicate with the parents and guardians of the student relating to their progress and growth. Actively participating in parent-teacher meetings, conferences and workshops.
  • Ensure computer lab cleanliness.
  • Reviewing and downloading any important software updates.
  • Maintaining proper functioning of all hardware devices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s level degree in information technology or related area.
  • At least 5 years of experience in teaching Information technology.
  • Possessing other teacher training courses/ certificate(s) that are prerequisites to the job is a plus.
  • Passionate about teaching to deepen the understanding of the role that information technology plays in the academic experience.
  • Experience in basic computer software and the latest systems/tools is an added advantage.
