Overview

Narnia Daycare and Pre School was founded in June 2013 with the mission to provide space for an early learning adventure through childcare services and interactive learning. Key Purpose

The teachers will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality, interactive learning programmes designed to engage and educate young children in a nurturing, inclusive and safe environment. The teacher will play a key role in fostering curiosity, developing social skills and educational foundations across various subjects. They will contribute to the holistic development of children- mentally, emotionally and socially- by working closely with families and the school team to create an optimal learning experience. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans and implements creative lesson plans that are in line with the school curriculum, incorporating age appropriate early childhood development principles.
  • Uses creative educational theories and techniques to interact with young children by including play, music, arts and crafts, reading, science and physical activities. 
  • Promotes and fosters child’s positive self-esteem and individual development toward fullest potential in the areas of physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth. 
  • Regularly reviews and assesses the lesson plans and the curriculum and suggests and carries out plans for improvement in collaboration with other teachers and school director. 
  • Monitors and provides the school director and parents reports on child’s development and progress on regular basis. 
  • Establishes and maintains a positive interpersonal relationship with all children, fellow staff and parents/guardians. 
  • Ensures the maintenance of clean and organised classroom environment and its activities and safeguard children’s health and safety.
  • Adheres to all established school policies, procedures and code of ethics.
  • Performs any other duties that are reasonably assigned by school director.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Child Development or a related area.
  • At least 3 years professional working experience in a similar and/or aligned role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development and current educational techniques and methods.
  • Must pass a background check, including medical examination.
