Key Purpose

The Elevator System Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of elevator systems within 2e Systems Ltd projects. Monitor and control elevator operations, perform routine maintenance and inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor elevator systems to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Respond to elevator calls and manage the elevator dispatch system.
  • Monitor elevator performance and system status through control panels and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance on elevator systems, including lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors for major repairs and overhauls.
  • Ensure all elevator operations comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and tests.
  • Implement and adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Address and resolve complaints or issues related to elevator service.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Prepare and submit reports on elevator performance and issues.
  • Update logbooks and maintenance schedules.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other maintenance staff.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in elevator systems.

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Technical training in elevator technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in elevator operation, maintenance, or a related field.

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of elevator systems, controls, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Good vision and hearing to detect issues and ensure safety.

 

Working Conditions

  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • On-call availability for emergency repairs and maintenance.
  • Exposure to noise, vibrations, and varying temperatures.
